Due to river flows below 1800 CFS, the City hydroelectric
facility is unable to perform a recreational release at the volume scheduled
for 08/13/2026.
When the river flow conditions are below 1800 CFS, staff are unable to operate a generating unit to reduce the river flow to the required release and maintain compliance with the “run of the river” mandate. River flows must be above the 1800 CFS threshold for the facility to have sufficient water volume to perform a controlled recreational release and maintain compliance.
