WATERTOWN CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN SCHOOL TAX COLLECTION PROCESS
Beginning with the 2025 school tax collection period, the City of Watertown Comptroller’s Office will no longer accept school tax payments.
The District has established a new school tax collection process. Residents now have several convenient options for submitting payments:
- By Mail:

Watertown, NY 13601
- In-Person at the Bank:
Payments may be made at Community Bank locations on Washington Street and Arsenal Street in Watertown. (Valid photo ID is required for cash payments.)
- Drop-Box Option:
A Secure drop-box is available outside the District Office at 1351 Washington Street. (For student safety, District buildings remain closed to the public, but the drop-box is accessible 24/7 and checked daily.)
- By Phone:
Payments by credit or debit card can be made by calling Jenna Ritz, School Tax Collector, at (315) 785-3713 or by emailing jritz@watertowncsd.org. (A small processing fee applies and will be shared before completing your payment).
