Each year City Council appoints a City Constable and a Deputy City Constable. By state law, the Constable and Deputy Constable are peace officers, and their appointments are required by the City Charter. They work closely with City Court and are responsible for serving legal papers, such as summonses and subpoenas, as well as assisting with evictions.
