If you've had an accident or otherwise suffered injury within the City of Watertown limits and on City owned property, and if you want to submit a claim to be compensated, you need to do the following:
Write a letter addressed to either the Clerk or City Council and mail it to:
City Clerk's Office
245 Washington St Room 101
Watertown, NY 13601
Include the following with your letter:
- Your contact information such as address, and phone
- Location of the incident
- Date it occurred
- Time it occurred
- Any witnesses
- Copies of any medical or auto bill
Next, wait for the Board of Audit to meet. The City Manager's Office will notify you if the claim is to be accepted.
