Council Appointment

The Development Authority of the North Country is a New York State chartered public benefit corporation, created in 1985. Its service area is Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties. It was created to address the infrastructure and community development needs of the region.

The Development Authority of the North Country has a thirteen member board of directors. Five non-voting members are appointed by New York State. Eight voting members are appointed by Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence Counties, and the City of Watertown.
