There are 10 playgrounds located throughout the City which open the last week in June until the last week in August.
Each playground staffs a male and female director to organize games, crafts, and play board games. Special activities:
- Track meet
- Free throw contest
- Coloring contest
- Trips to city pools
- Mr. and Miss America contest
- Chess/checker/backgammon tournament
- Zoo and Park Trips
