Planning Board Meeting - June 1
The City Planning Board is composed of 7 members. The Planning Board’s main responsibilities are reviewing requests for site plan, special use permit, zone change and subdivision approvals and making recommendations to the City Council on the first three. The Board may also make recommendations on other planning issuesThey hold regular meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. The meetings usually last between 30 minutes to 2 hoursSpecial meetings are held occasionally when needed. Length of preparation required before meetings depend on the agenda items, but typically can be 2 hours in length.

Library Board Meeting - June 8
The mission of the library is to act as a center for reading, culture and the attainment of information for the residents of the City of Watertown and surrounding communities. It is committed to preserving and extending its role as a premier historic and community asset. The Library Board determines the library services to be offered, appoints a library director, and seeks funds through the Council's budget process for the Library's operations. The library has standing committees that consist of Finance and Investments, Buildings and Grounds, Personnel, Events, Policies, Fund Raising, and Planning.
Tree Watertown - June 10
Tree Watertown, a volunteer group of community citizens serves as the Street Tree Advisory Board to the City of Watertown. Tree Watertown advises the City on policy issues, makes recommendations regarding grant applications and works with the City Planning Office in the development of the City’s annual tree planting program. In addition, Tree Watertown serves the community through the development and presentation of educational initiatives and tree planting projects throughout the year.

Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting - June 16
The ZBA process usually takes 2-3 months from filing the application to conclusion. The ZBA hearings are scheduled for the 3rd Wednesday of the month and are held in the City Council Chambers of the Watertown Municipal Building. ZBA Legal Notices are published in the Watertown Daily Times and the meetings are open to the public. Applications to the Zoning Board of Appeals are available:
